The Bahamas Institute of Financial Services, in conjunction with the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment, is proud to announce the launch of a new programme, “Fundamentals of Financial Services”, created specifically for high school senior students interested in Financial Services.

The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) is the largest and most widely respected professional body for those who work in the securities and investment industry in the UK and in a growing number of financial centres globally. Evolved from the London Stock Exchange, they now have over 40,000 members in 110 countries, and sat almost 37,000 examinations in 74 countries in the last year.

Who should study for it?

The qualification provides an overview of the industry, and will help prepare high school students or entry level candidates for a career in Financial Services.

The syllabus covers:

  • Introduction savings and borrowing
  • Banking
  • Equities/Shares/Stocks
  • Bonds Markets
  • Other areas of Financial Services

Days: Tue & Thur - 12 noon to 2 pm

Students who sign up to this programme will receive:

  • A PDF version of the official CISI workbook for “Fundamentals of Financial Services” and supplementary study materials
  • The “Fundamentals of Financial Services” examination
  • The awarding of an qualification from an internationally recognized organ is at ion (upon successful completion)
  • Free student membership of the CISI for 12 months
