19th World Conference of Banking Institutes

In March of 2011, The Bahamas Institute of Financial Services (BIFS) will host the 19th World Conference of Banking Institutes.

The World Conference of Banking Institutes is a biennial event that brings together officials from the financial sector and personnel from financial training Institutes world-wide. The conference seeks to address current challenges concerning the functioning of Banking and Finance Institutes and their role in effectively supporting the financial sector’s performance and profitability. The primary role of Banking and Finance Institutes is to support the financial sector through the provision of organized education, training and professional development programmes for its employees. The first World Conference of Banking Institutes was held in 1975 in Edinburgh.

An invitation is extended to all Banks, Trust Companies and other organizations operating in the Bahamas to join the Bahamas Institute of Financial Services.
