Stage I

Through participative teaching, practical case studies, and critical-thinking business simulations, this introductory certificate course will offer a unique learning experience to its students and teachers and is designed to create accurate, time-saving, and “out of the box strategies” for the proper and efficient execution of daily company administration and practice.

This course enables participants to:

(a) demonstrate practical knowledge and understanding of the principles of company law, particularly company law and practice in The Bahamas;

(b) apply that legal knowledge and understanding to practical, every-day company administration in a competent and comprehensive manner;

(c) critically assess, analyse, and address the legal issues involved in general company law, practice, and administration;

(d) to effectively communicate their knowledge and understanding of company law principles and practice and to create and recommend integrative, cost-effective, and highly responsive solutions to colleagues and clients within the work environment.

Stage II

This advanced certificate course aims to provide practical, comprehensive, and integrative knowledge, understanding, and application of modern company law, practice, and administration to company executives, entrepreneurs, business and investment managers, trust and company administrators, paralegals, professional advisors, and company stakeholders.

To enable course participants to:

(a) demonstrate comprehensive, practical knowledge and understanding of different corporate, trust, financial, and estate planning vehicles

(b) innovatively and consistently apply that detailed legal and practical knowledge and understanding to client demands, enquiries, and requests financial and estate planning and wealth management products and services

(c) critically assess, analyse, and address the legal and practical issues involved in the provision, maintenance, management, and execution of highly specialized corporate vehicles and financial services.
